Finger Joint Process

Finger Jointing is a Wood processing technique that enables the jointing of individual pieces of wood together to form longer lengths. The process involves the machining of inter-locking finger profiles into each end of small wood pieces. The ends are the coated with adhesives and meshed together, end-to-end, under pressure to form a longer piece of wood, which is known as lamellas. These lamellas are segregated end edge glued to form a board according to the colors and the quality.
